The Lectrosonics HM162V Headset Microphone

leave a comment »

The HM162 headset microphone is a lightweight, noise canceling design for use with high output PA systems such as the Lectrosonics Long Ranger 4, Long Ranger III and Long Ranger II.

The comfortable, over-the-ear headband and flexible boom place the pickup capsule in an optimum location just to the left of the user’s mouth. The headband keeps the pickup in this position as the user moves about, leaving the hands free for other tasks.

Features include:

    • Over the ear design for hands-free use
    • Dual-element, noise canceling mic capsule
    • Improved gain before feedback with high output sound systems
    • Comfortable, slim-line design for long-term use
    • Rugged mic boom and suspension

A bi-directional, dual-element, noise cancelling microphone capsule rejects extraneous sound and emphasizes the user’s voice for maximum gain before feedback even in close proximity to sound system loudspeakers. The lightweight headband includes an adjustable, elastic neckband to provide a comfortable fit around the back of the head. The over the ear design also allows the user to comfortably wear a cap or hat without interfering with the operation of the microphone.

The HM162 is available with a locking micro and 5-pin connectors for use with any Lectrosonics wireless transmitter. Rugged materials are used throughout the assembly to withstand the rigors of heavy use.

The Lectrosonics HM142V Headset Microphone

with 2 comments

The Lectrosonics HM142V headset microphone is a lightweight design for use with a wide variety of Lectrosonics wireless PA, microphone and IFB systems, including the Long Ranger II, III and 4 systems. The stainless steel headband and boom are adjustable for maximum comfort and flexibility.

The foam temple pads are attached to machined aluminum assemblies clamped to the headband. The position of the temple pad opposite the mic boom is adjustable for a comfortable, secure fit. The stainless steel headbands are simply shaped by hand to fit the head. The pickup capsule is an omnidirectional electret type, powered by a DC bias present on the input jack of Lectrosonics transmitters.

The stainless steel microphone boom is mounted in a ball joint to allow adjustment to position the microphone to the left and slightly away from the mouth. The volume control on the temple pad is used to temporarily control feedback when used with a sound system. Rugged machined aluminum and stainless steel are used to construct the headset for years of heavy use.

The Lectrosonics M175 Belt-Pack Transmitter

leave a comment »

The Lectrosonics M175 and M175LS Belt-Pack Transmitters are the industry standard belt-pack transmitters used with Lectrosonics Long Ranger systems.

* Input limiter for low distortion and high signal to noise ratio
* Continuously variable input gain
* Machined aluminum housing and external parts
* Spring-loaded, aluminum belt clip
* Highly accurate battery status indicator
* Self-adjusting battery compartment accommodates all makes of 9 volt alkaline batteries

The M175 sets a new standard for mechanical design. Every external part on the transmitter is machined aluminum—including the battery door and belt-clip. The result is an extremely durable package. The precise fit and action of these mechanical parts makes handling and operating the M175 a genuine pleasure.

Battery compartments are often a source of problems in most wireless transmitters. The battery compartment in the M175 automatically adjusts to accommodate the wide variety of available 9 volt alkaline batteries. The floating polarity barrier provides positive protection against inserting the battery backward, and spring loaded contacts assure a solid electrical contact with the battery. The machined aluminum battery door is of a unique design which rotates open smoothly and “snaps” closed providing a secure fit for the battery.
